You eat it every day, but do you know everything about bread? I don't think so. You can say this knowledge is not necessary because all you have to do is to go to a local shop and buy one loaf. But, believe me, nothing is more tasty than home-made bread!
You probably know it is made from flour and water. These two components are mixed together with salt and yeast to produce dough. The weight of the used flour is treated as 100% and the rest of the components are added in a certain percent of the flour weight. If you add 50% water, you get a light bread. If you add more water, say 75%, there are more CO2 bubbles and the bread is with coarser crumb. Of course the type of flour also matters. Flour is made from grain such as wheat, rye or barley. To get brown bread, some bran is added (about 10%). The type of flour affects both colour and taste. But in every case the dough is allowed to rise in a warm place, which takes about an hour. Then it is baked in a 200 degree Celsius oven for about 30 minutes. Then the bread is ready for eating.
If you don't want to make this with your hands, you can buy a bread machine. Then you only have to put all the ingredients inside the machine, plug it into a socket and turn it on. This bread will also be very tasty!
